Come step back in time with us at The Homestead for our homestyle Louisiana gourmet cuisine foods. We make our jellies using mayhaw, muscadine and all the other wild fruits that grow here in Louisiana, plus some we raise and buy.

Everyday with Rachel Ray Magazine August 2006 issue named Five pepper Jelly the best pepper jelly. We have a very large line of pepper jellies featuring our #1 selling item, "crawfish" jelly. We grow our habaneros, jalapenos, tabasco and some of our bell peppers.

We make a lot of our jellies with wild fruits and berries that grow here in our state of Louisiana. The blackberry jelly is one of them. I know you will be pleased with the flavor.
Ingredients:  sugar, blackberry juice, water, pectin.

Blackberry pepper jelly has the whole berry in the recipe. A dark purple color and a surprisingly deliteful flavor.

This one is great for the holidays.It's made with fresh cranberries,bell peppers,and a small amount of jalapeno.It holds a deep burgundy color.It can be served over cream cheese and also with the turkey or ham.Happy Holidays

I know, I know it sounds funny, but it is our # one seller.It out sales the other flavor by far. It has no meat. It is wonderfulserved over the cream cheese or served alongside a seafood platter as a dip.You will just have to try it.Its a great gift giver and the talk of the town.

We added all of our peppers to this orange colored,great tasting one. It really does have a unique flavor with all the peppers, green pepper, jalapeno,serrino,green chili & habanero.

This jelly has beautiful red color. I think it is the original pepper jelly recipe. Great as an dip, appetizer, or glaze.It is great for the holidays. I like to put red pepper on one end of the cream cheese and green pepper on the other. I put an evergreen leaf in the middle to seperate the colors and circle it with air crisp crackers. This makes a beautiful dish at christmas time.

Out State Jelly This year - Mayhaw jelly is a rare delicacy made from the tart red fruit that grows in the low areas and swamps of north and central Louisiana. They grow on a small tree up to 20 feet with an upright form, with showy white blossoms in the early spring followed by clusters of small fruit resembling cranberries.
Ingredients:  sugar, mayhaw juice, water, pection.

This wild fruit is our # 1 seller in our breakfast line and we thought all you mayhaw lovers might like a pepper jelly as well. It is very tasty and medium hot with jalapeno peppers.

Muscadines are wild grapes that grow in north and central Louisiana. We shake the vines that run up to the top of our large oak trees, gather the grapes, bag and freeze the them. We make the jelly as needed,so it is always fresh for you our customers.

Pecan Pepper is a popular seller. It's a hot one. We use 1 cup of ground pecans in each small batch of our pecan pepper jelly. Great on the cream cheese.

This pepper jelly contains the whole berry. It has a deep burgundy color. Raspberry Pepper is my favorite of all the pepper jellies. It is very strong in the wonderful raspberry flavor but not very hot.

This is a hot one,and naturally a red color. It is wonderful served over the cream cheese, but better as a condiment with veggies. It is also good as a glaze for meats.A lot of our customers use it on fried fish.
